Working with RouterPilot

The RouterPilot menu and control areas are completely configurable to allow the user to create an interface that can be easily learned and operated by plant-floor personel. The on-screen control buttons can be custom designed and triggered at the table with remote controls.
Every SL Laser Projection System is custom-tailored to your production process by a SL Laser factory-trained technician. This system can be easily modified by anyone with basic software skills using a well documented command set of control options. The system is password-protected to prevent tampering by unauthorized personel.
File typesRouterPilot allows you to use generic G-Code, .dxf, .dwg, and .iges files, as well as direct inputs from popular sofware packages like AlphaCam, MasterCam, CADCode, Planit Solutions, and NC-Hops.

Layer control – Show pods and rails for fast placement. Show part outlines on a spoilboard for accurate setups. Project cutouts and drilling operations to protect tooling and fixtures.

Fixture Placement – You can keep a “virtual inventory” of your pods and fixtures and place them on your part drawings with a simple drag and click. On a point-to-point machine, “slide” your rails into place to the software image and project the proper positions with laser lines for fast and easy setups.

Positioning – You can move, flip, mirror, and rotate objects for marking layouts on granite and marble. Maximize your slab yeild without creating manual templates.

Batching – Schedule your upcoming shifts by syncronizing the projection sequence with your material flow. All the builder has to do is push the “Next Job” button on his remote control to keep the material flowing!

Management Reporting – Which shift is spending the most time on setups? Which jobs are taking the longest to produce? Which operator is making you the most money? Find out with RouterPilot management reports.
